The Multi-Omics Microbial Systems Lab uses computational models and machine learning to study the role of microbial communities in human disease
We combine systems biology, data science and mathematical modeling to investigate how microbial and immune interactions alter disease and treatment prognoses. This knowledge is key to developing targeted intervention and management strategies for complex infections, while nurturing beneficial microbiota. We focus on microbiomes in chronic lung diseases, gut and sepsis. The group is part of the Research Division Infection Biology, Department of Medicine 1 and the Comprehensive Center for AI in Medicine.
